Travel Essentials: Pond's Cleansing Towelettes

As a frequent traveler, I’m constantly searching for easy beauty products that won’t leave my luggage a mess from spills and that keep me looking fresh while I’m away.

I recently came across a new product that’s a girlfriend traveler winner AND won’t leave a mess in my suitcase! Pond’s Wet Cleansing Towelette’s are a perfect addition to a Diva’s suitcase! When I travel, I try to avoid checking luggage so I have to be creative with traveling with liquid and cream beauty products. Let’s face it – there’s only so much that you can stuff into a quart-size bag! Pond’s Towelette’s are pre-moistened facial cleansing wipes, are compactly packaged and won’t take up much space in your carry-on bag. Also, the wipes won’t spill or ooze unto your packed clothing (trust me; a spill is not what you want to experience when you unzip your suitcase!!)

I enjoyed using the Original Clean cleansing towelette’s as a one-step makeup remover while showering. I’m heavy on mascara and eye liner and the wipes worked quite well! I also wear contact lens and had no issues with the wipes irritating my eyes. Another traveling perk – I used the towelette’s during my summer trips for quick and refreshing clean ups at the beach. The light Chamomile scent is cooling and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing!

Searching for a perfect beauty addition for your suitcase? Search no more and visit http://www.ponds.lifestyle.msn.com/ for beauty tips and download coupons to try Pond’s Towelette’s for yourself! Pond’s offers a money-back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose!

Enjoy!

Girlfriend Getaway Location - Fabulous Fall Weekends

I’ll admit it – I’m a summer girl at heart. The season change always bums me out slightly….until I think of the opportunities for fall getaways. Need an inspiring Fall Girlfriend Getaway idea?
Check out a few below:

Virginia Wine Country
Fall is harvest season and a perfect time of the year to explore wine country and sample new wines. October is Wine Month in Virginia and there are several wineries, minutes from DC in Northern Virginia, along a scenic country drive or beside the eastern shore that offer great wine and affordable fun! Loudon, Virginia, DC’s Wine Country, is bustling with over 20 wineries, farm-to-table restaurants, country trails, and within driving distance to the nation’s capital. You and your girls will feel like your miles away from the busy city while maxing and relaxing minutes form home.

Spa Days
You’ve had a long summer; you and your friends deserve a fall spa weekend fit for a Diva! Plan a staycation in your own city and visit a nearby spa like Bliss . BIiss made its debut during the summer of 2009 in the W Hotel, Washington DC. With cool themed treatments like blissage 75 or fatgirlslim, you and your girlfriends can’t help but relax in style! Make the most of your downtime and escape to a spa resort like the Flowering Almond Spa in Virginia Beach. Try out their Half-Day Getaway package that includes a variety of services or better yet, sample affordable treatments during Spa Week (October 12-18), with services as low as $50!

Long City Weekends
If you’re like me, you spend enough time in traffic and behind the wheel. Why not let someone else do the driving and hop on the Bolt Bus to a nearby city for an adventurous weekend! Bolt Bus travels to major East Coast cities, including New York, Philadelphia and Boston. All Bolt Bus destination cities have fabulous shopping and nightlife for a weekend as wild or relaxing as you need it to be. In addition to arriving to your city refreshed from not having the stress of driving, the bus offers reserved seating and free Wi-Fi during the ride. Hello!

Wine country, spa days and long city weekends await so grab your overnight bag and start planning your Fabulous Fall Getaway!

Long Time, No See

Ok, so has it REALLY been since April that I've last posted?!?!? Ahh - I've missed you all and hopefully you've missed receiving fabulous updates on girlfriend getaway ideas! I must say, life has taken me for quite a bit of a ride lately and while I've dreamed of relaxing, it hasn't always been possible.

BUT you know I'm always on the go! In the past few months, I celebrated Virginia Tourism's 40th anniversary with a kick-off party at Mt. Vernon and trip with 40 winners to a secret destination....mine turned out to be Virginia Beach! Very cool!

Business led me to Argentina and Chile...twice. International travel is always an adventure and provides a fresh way to see the world. Fine wine, hearty meals of beef and sunshine met me on my Latin American journey, as well as a quick run-in with the Chilean customs department over an apple (hey, I say Ipod, they say Apple...I MUST brush up on my Spanish :-)

I visited Detroit for an unexpected trip home. RIP Monte Evans.

Dance recitals and year end school activities took my June by storm. Every year I bang my head against the wall, wondering how I let myself get dragged into the long hours of volunteering, piles of tulle, early morning rehearsals, hair, makeup.....until I see the kids on stage. It's all worth it!

Last but not least, we kicked off the summer with Living La Diva Loca 2009 - Bahamas!! The Bahamas trip deserves its own post but I'll sum it up in a few words: girlfriends, pina coladas, togas, conch fritters and plenty of laughter.

Well, that's what I've been up to the past few months - what about you?
